JOB DETAILS:

  • Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
  • Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time onsite throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
  • Duration: Aug-01-2026 to Jul-31-2027. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

 

We are seeking highly motivated FPGA Design Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role -

  • We will involve you and train you in designing, and implementing FPGA modules for multimedia/video processing, including developing video algorithms using HLS (C/C++) and integrating IP cores into video pipelines (e.g., TPG, VDMA).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, system) to optimize and integrate FPGA-based solutions ensuring real-time, reliable video performance.
  • Analyze existing FPGA architectures, multimedia algorithms, and video pipelines; conduct competitive market research to guide innovation and improvement.
  • Design, implement, and debug FPGA-based multimedia solutions; document findings and make custom modifications as required
  • Prepare technical collaterals such as presentations, white papers, and reports to effectively communicate design concepts, project progress, and competitive analysis.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electronics & Communication
  • Strong foundation in digital design principles, FPGA architecture, and hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog.
  • Experience or coursework involving High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado HLS) and C/C++ programming for hardware design.
  • Familiarity with FPGA development environments such as Xilinx Vivado for synthesis, and implementation workflows.
  • Understanding of video processing concepts and video pipeline components like Test Pattern Generator (TPG), Video DMA (VDMA), or similar multimedia IP blocks.
  • Knowledge of FPGA optimization techniques to improve hardware resource utilization, performance and efficiency. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts, document design work, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
