SUMMARY: Provide engineering and cost analyses for design for manufacturability and supply-chain optimization with exposure to multiple manufacturing environments.

 

WAGE TYPE:  Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt

  • Analyze and manage engineering requests for quotation from OEM industry customers to develop supply chain solutions for manufacturability of products.
  • Develop suggestions for design for manufacturability of engineering data.
  • Assist in developing processes to produce parts through our manufacturing plant.
  • Assist with cost-savings initiatives with cross-functional teams within the organization.
  • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
  • Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities.
  • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

  • Reports to: Manager, Process & Operations Systems

 

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

ExpectedApplicants must have at least a junior standing currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Management, or equivalent.  Pursuing Business Administration major, minor, or coursework preferred.

 

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.

 

 

Other Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to manage multiple project deliverables with independent deadlines and be able to efficiently communicate project requirements to key project stakeholders.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to ask questions to complete assignments on-time and with attention to detail.
  • Experience with modeling software (i.e. Solidworks or Pro-E) for design interpretation and feedback to key project stakeholders.
  • Experience with interpreting print requirements; GD&T experience preferred.
  • 1-2 year prior experience in a manufacturing environment for sheetmetal stampings, zinc/aluminum die castings, and machining preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to work both independently and in a team oriented environment.
  • Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
