Position Requirements:

  • Understanding of legal terminology and local court/jurisdiction rules.
  • Understanding of legal research and writing.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and identify urgency as well as manage time and multitask effectively.
  • Must be capable of performing a variety of clerkship duties for the Dept.

Position Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and writing on legal issues in litigation.
  • Draft litigation documents for review by attorneys.
  • Attend for observation of hearings, depositions, and mediations of cases in litigation.
  • Timely complete required litigation tasks.
  • Perform tasks electronically in a paperless environment.

Experience and Skills:

  • Completion of 1L or 2L years of an accredited law schools.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office software and Professional Adobe or Nuance.
