About the Role

Be part of the fundamental active investment team at State Street Investment Management. Your work will involve delivering excess returns through security selection, adhering to an investment approach that is consistent with our long-standing value investment philosophy.

Our 12-month Internship Program is designed for high potential students like you, placing you in our most impactful roles and preparing you for future success. From day one, you will experience a collaborative and dynamic company culture.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet with, analyze, model, and value the equity securities of global publicly listed corporations.

  • Recommend investments for inclusion in our suite of concentrated regional and global strategies.

  • Monitor newsflow on companies held within our portfolios.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement with regard to our investment process and suite of investment models and tools.

  • Ad hoc projects related to our investment process.

Program dates: 31 August 2026 – 30 August 2027

You must be available to participate in the program in person in the Republic of Ireland, starting from day one and for its full duration. Additionally, you are required to work from the office 4 days a week.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Third year students enrolled in full time undergraduate education currently in the penultimate year of their degree, in one of the following areas: Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field.

  • Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic organization.

  • Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Motivated by real-world problem solving and eager to contribute innovative ideas.

What happens next?
