About the Role
Overview

 

 

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) program, in partnership with Chevron Corporation, is proud to present the 6th annual Chevron Energy Summit!  This is an exciting, four-day immersive experience designed to connect innovators with Chevron. Participants will engage in panel sessions hosted by Chevron Technology Ventures, focusing on careers and innovation in the energy sector.

 

Attendees will have the valuable opportunity to meet with Chevron executives and senior leaders. Onsite interviews will take place for all participants at the conclusion of the summit. Furthermore, participants will receive a monetary stipend, with the potential for additional scholarship awards and selection for a full-time internship opportunity.

This program is now accepting applications from full time students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) who are innovative and have a focus on the energy sector.  Students selected must be available to participate during the entire summit from August 10-14, 2026. Partial attendance is not allowed.

Qualifications

Below are the requirements for students interested in applying to this program:

  • Enrolled full-time in an accredited HBCU or PBI 
  • Must be in good academic standing with no disciplinary infractions
  • Current freshman, sophomore or juniors 
  • Previous professional internship experience required
  • Students with coding and internship experience encouraged to apply
  • No minimum GPA requirement 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well on a team
  • Must be willing to travel to Houston, Texas, August 10-14, 2026
  • Willing to grow and learn in a collaborative environment
  • Chevron can only hire US Citizens at this time
