About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing VR environments using Unreal Engine 5 and VR hardware.
- Help create and refine 3D models of construction equipment, traffic control devices, and highway environments.
- Conduct user testing sessions with construction safety professionals.
- Document development processes and compile technical reports.
- Review and synthesize literature on VR training effectiveness and construction safety standards.
Position Requirements:
- Currently an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Game Design, or a related technical field.
- Experience with programming (Python, C++, Java, etc.).
- Strong communication skills.
- Interest in virtual reality, game development, or construction safety.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or other game engines.
- Experience with object-oriented programming (C++, Java, etc.).
- Experience with generative artificial intelligence.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations or MUTCD traffic control standards.
- Experience with 3D modeling of relevant assets such as vehicles, construction materials, and realistic outdoor environments.
