Jax Logistics Administrator

Position Summary

The Logistics Intern provides administrative, system, and reporting support for logistics operations, with primary responsibility for daily reporting tasks, invoice verification, data entry, and carrier activity verification. The Logistics Intern will engage in direct communication with 3PL providers, warehouses, and the global logistics team regarding day-to-day logistics reporting and information requests.

Key Responsibilities 

Reporting, Tracking & Administrative Support

  • Provide daily updates on container arrivals, daily activity at the port, and a forecast for future shipments
  • Manage, organize, and create standardized documentation for incoming shipments.
  • Collect and archive commercial shipping documents from vendors according to record-keeping standards
  • Promptly provide requested shipping documents to 3PL providers, warehouses, and cross-functional teams.
  • Support internal reviews by providing accurate documentation.
  • Support other tasks and projects as assigned.

 

Brokerage, Transportation & Forwarder Invoice Review and Audit

  • Receive, review, and check the accuracy of transportation, forwarder, and warehouse invoices. Ensure compliance with approved rates and services.
  • Identify billing discrepancies, accessorial errors, and duplicate or incorrect charges.
  • Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, forwarders, steamship lines, and internal teams to resolve invoice issues.
