About the Role

Job Summary

Provides assistance to the Engineering Department in the design, manufacture, and testing of safe, dependable hot line tools and equipment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

*Develops and utilizes knowledge and understanding go system, methods, and operations used in engineering

*Applies knowledge of principles, techniques, and procedures to design and production 

*Reads and interprets blueprints providing insight on the product/product design

*Identifies and provides possible solutions for issues and inefficiencies with design and design-related production problems

*Conducts analysis and testing of products to determine reliability, functionality, strength, and safety of the product

*Confer with engineers or other members of the team to implement operating procedure, resolve system malfunction or provide technical information 

*Actively participates on Engineering team projects and process improvements

*Complies with and adheres to applicable ISO standards, safety, and work rules and requirements

*Other duties as assigned 

Position Requirements

*Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required. (Junior or senior year standing preferred). 

*Demonstrates ability to apply design techniques and a high attention to detail

*Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem-solve

*Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; some experience with SolidWorks CAD software strongly preferred; experience with Mastercam software helpful

*Frequent standing

*Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.

*Ability to tolerate, at times, non-airconditioned manufacturing environment that can present fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise environment. bration, and loud noise environment

*Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), when needed
