Job Summary (Basic Functions): LG Chem has a newly created 12-Month Marketing Intern position that will be in our corporate office in Cerritos, CA, and will support the Petrochemicals Marketing Team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn real world experience from projects or tasks related to Sales. These may include market research focused on customer and market trends, data analysis, product competitive analysis and potential lead generation. The goal of this program is to prepare future candidates for LG Chem.

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Essential Functions (Principal assignments include but are not limited to):

 

Inventory Management Support

  • Goal setting to align project with business needs.
  • Research new industries/market segments to determine pricing and product trends.
  • Research and contact new customers.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to obtain data and information used to establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) and support market expansion.
  • Data mining and collaboration with sales team members to report strategic information to Headquarter in Korea.
  • Perform clerical duties such as organizing information and reports based on specific criteria.

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For

 

Education: Students must be currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior year pursuing a degree in Marketing or business-related curriculum.

 

Requirements:

  • Interest in pursuing a Marketing career.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-start with desire to learn and work autonomously.
  • Must possess good reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze large amounts of data and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams.
  • Bilingual Korean highly preferred to communicate with HQ in Korea.

 

Preferred Qualifications/What We’d Like to See:

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Ability to collaborate across business functions and work as a part of a team.
