JOB DESCRIPTION

The data analytic and insights intern will support all areas of the department (Revenue insights, claims insights, performance monitoring, anomaly detection, market study, industry deep dive, Fraud, Governance and regulatory) to

  • Perform complex analysis on portfolio and transactions
  • Summarize complex information and to be able to communicate results to business unit leaders.
  • Educate business partners and build awareness on how to interpret data and analytics to drive decision making that will move the business forward.
  • Perform analysis, translating data into information, and answering business questions (hypotheses, testing, data gathering, analysis, story building, and communication to stakeholders).
  • Interpret analytic outputs and data by using visualization to illustrate business insights.
  • Actively monitor results for trending patterns and/or issues in order to continuously improve.
  • Adhere to established service level agreements.
  • Adapt quickly to system changes/enhancements/environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Statistic, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field such as: Computer science, software engineering or any AI related field
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Coding skills and knowledge of program language such as SQL, python, and/or visualization tools Posit, PowerBI, Tableau
  • Strong analytical, critical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous circumstances
  • Can perform effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Must thrive in fast paced environment and be comfortable with constant deadlines

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence September 8th – December 18th, 2026.
