Job Description:

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW 

 
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

Canadian Banking Compliance is fully independent of the business lines as a second line of defense and independent regulatory compliance and conduct risk management function. We  are accountable for assessing the adequacy of, adherence to and effectiveness of the day-to-day Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) and conduct risk controls of the business units that they support Canadian Banking Compliance is responsible for overseeing Regulatory Compliance in accordance with the Enterprise Regulatory Compliance Management Framework (ERCMF).  We provide ongoing regulatory support for TD Bank Group's lines of business as mandated under the primary governing regulatory body, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC  

 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

 The candidate should be a objective thinking and able to prioritize multiple initiatives. Provide a range of support, guidance, reporting and analysis to businesses/internal team members on Compliance/Centre of Excellence issues and related program risks and issues. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field 

  • Could include Law  studies  

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions) 

  • Provides specialized analysis, reporting, and operational support to the Compliance team 

  • Second or third year under graduate 

  • Advanced MS Office skills preferred 

  • Ability to operate in an evolving, sometimes ambiguous environment 

  • Ability to understand regulatory requirements 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering on priorities under tight deadlines 

  • Superior organizational skills 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact and communicate at all levels of the organization 

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence September - December 2026.
