DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW 

 
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. Corporate Operational Risk Management ("C-ORM") is accountable for the design and implementation 

of TDBG's Operational Risk Management Framework that sets out the Bank's governance, 

policies, processes and practices for the identification, assessment, reporting, mitigation 

and control of operational risk Within this context, C-ORM acts as an independent risk 

management function responsible for ensuring the Bank has an effective operational risk 

management program to support our risk behaviours of Own It, Raise It and Know It and manage risk within the Bank's risk appetite. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

This role will provide a broad range of risk analysis, reporting, monitoring and support to business partner requests and act as a specialist/expert in providing advice on a range of risk related matters within the Issues Management team The role involves conducting data quality checks and thematic analysis of issue data and drafting reporting insights to inform senior leadership of key themes and potential areas of concern The successful candidate should possess strong analytical thinking and attention to detail skills as these reports are presented at various senior committees within the organization.    

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field 

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions) 

  • Proactively analyze Issues Management data and produce trend analysis to inform forward looking results 

  • Use advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards against which others will operate 

  • Provide regular commentary and industry analysis in supporting the development/ maintenance/ oversight of policies/ procedures/ practices related to the Issues Management program 

  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or oversight functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements 

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts 

  • Conducts Issues Management analysis to inform decision making at senior levels 

  • Works independently and performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of Issues management data to inform future trends 

  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence September - December 2026.
