Job Description:

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW 

 
Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. The Business Insights teams under CLA&BI supports the Canadian Banking Risk Management teams (2A)  The team is responsible for providing analysis and reporting for decision making, to 2A teams, for the regulators (OSFI) and for Canadian Banking Chief Risk Officer, and the Risk Management Chief Risk Officer The Departnement excels in delivering data management, reporting, analytics and insights, driving excellence in every aspect of our operations, grounded in TD’s values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

You’ll play a key role in turning data into meaningful business insights that support major initiatives across TD. Partnering closely with stakeholders, you’ll help define analytical needs, uncover trends and opportunities, and inform data‑driven decisions that support business strategy and risk priorities. 
In this role, you’ll combine quantitative and qualitative analysis with strong storytelling skills to develop reporting, analysis, and dashboards that clearly communicate insights and drive action. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver high‑quality analytics, reporting, and insights accurately and on time 

  • Apply quantitative and qualitative methodologies to interpret and present data clearly 

  • Develop analysis and dashboards to identify trends, risks, and opportunities 

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support risk strategy and business decision‑making 

  • Build and validate analysis, including proof‑of‑concept work where required 

  • Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, and project teams to support analytics delivery 

  • Continuously build expertise in the business, analytical tools, and emerging trends 

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and operational efficiency 

  • Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and service‑oriented team environment 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce, Computer Science, Math, statistics, engineering, or other quantitative discipline or related field 

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions) 

 

The incumbent will:     

  • Ability to utilize both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to interpret and present data effectively and clearly  

  • Ability to develop analysis and dashboards to illustrate business trends and provide value added insight to the 2A teams, which will allow Risk teams to action for their Risk Strategy. 

  • Relevant experience working with SQL, Advanced SAS, Excel, Python, and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Power Apps 

  • Ability to communicate analytical results effectively and simply 

  • A self-starter who is curious about data and the underlying story and insights it can convey, and takes initiative to deliver 

  • Ability to analyze and problem solve 

  • Organized and can prioritize while meeting multiple deadlines 

  • Works independenly and can communicate effectively, both verbal and written 

 

The incumbent will get the opportunity to present at a Leadership meeting and an opportunity to learn about other areas within CLA&BI.

  • This position is a 4-month work term and will commence September - December 2026.
