This 4 month Intern role will support an internal Research and Development program. This is a technical hands on role where emphasis will be on testing physical prototypes, and supporting activities related to helping the existing technology teams meet their project objectives. The nature of the work will be varied and include prototype assembly, developing testing procedures and scripts to analyze performance and summarize the results.
POSTING
In this role, you will be:
· Developing, validating, and executing testing procedures
· Measuring performance of prototype lamps
· Creating Python scripts to analyze and summarize the experimental results
· Assembling prototypes, improving existing equipment, and operating equipment used to make lamp prototypes
· Apply systematic problem-solving process.
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:
· Enrolled in 3rd year or higher of a post-secondary education in Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering degree
· Electrical and mechanical aptitude, including hands on wiring skills
· Demonstrated Python programming skills and data analytic capabilities
· Able to assemble and test prototypes
· Effective written and verbal communications skills.
· Able to work collaboratively with a team where striving for continuous improvement is expected and valued.
