The Position

Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.

Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within?

As an intern, you will contribute to a project focused on strengthening Roche’s portfolio strategy and pipeline readiness in Ghana through the practical use of real-world data and evidence. The project aims to move Ghana’s Real-World Evidence strategy from concept to implementation, while also improving stakeholder understanding, customer engagement, and market readiness for future innovations. Within your first 3 months, you are expected to help bring an HCP segmentation model to life, analyze stakeholder insights, support market readiness assessments in high-need disease areas, and contribute to the operationalization of the Real-World Evidence strategy in Breast Cancer and Ophthalmology. Your work will support evidence-based healthcare decision-making, help identify the conditions needed for successful product launches, and strengthen access to innovation in Ghana. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to apply data-driven and strategic thinking to real healthcare challenges in an emerging market context.

The Opportunity

  • Support the development and activation of a healthcare professional segmentation model to strengthen customer engagement

  • Analyze stakeholder insights from customer engagement partners to inform strategic segmentation and improve communication approaches

  • Conduct scoping exercises to support market readiness assessments and identify disease areas with the highest unmet medical need in Ghana

  • Contribute to the operationalization of Ghana’s Real-World Evidence strategy, with a focus on Breast Cancer and Ophthalmology

  • Support the development of a data-driven map of healthcare professionals based on clinical focus, research capacity, and readiness for innovative therapies

  • Generate recommendations on how Roche-generated real-world data can ethically align with national health data structures

  • Help identify medical needs and infrastructure gaps relevant to future product launches in Ghana

  • Prepare reports and visual materials that translate evidence and insights into actionable recommendations

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s or PhD studies at a university, preferably in the field of Medicine, Pharmacy, or Public Health within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.

Furthermore you are

  • Knowledgeable in evidence generation, especially real-world data and real-world evidence

  • Comfortable with data analysis, strategic market assessment, report writing, and visualization

  • Interested in healthcare systems, market readiness, and evidence-based policy or access decisions

  • Able to work independently, think critically, and collaborate effectively with others

  • A strong communicator with a learning mindset and fluent English skills

If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
