About the Role

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections,  where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.

Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within?

As an intern, you will contribute to a project focused on scaling digital patient navigation to improve outcomes in low- and middle-income healthcare systems. The project supports the expansion of RedPath, a digital, AI-enabled tool currently active in Ghana that helps automate patient navigation, identify bottlenecks in the care pathway, and reduce patient attrition between diagnosis and treatment. Within your first 3 months, you are expected to help assess the initial rollout across active hospitals, identify drivers of adoption and barriers to use, develop a replication playbook for other LMIC settings, and contribute to an expansion roadmap for broader digital uptake. Your work will support better access to innovation by helping ensure patients reach appropriate treatment faster while strengthening digital health capabilities in resource-constrained environments. This internship offers a meaningful opportunity to work on a live digital health implementation with real-world impact on patient outcomes and health system efficiency.

The Opportunity

  • Execute a performance analysis of the RedPath rollout to identify specific drivers of user adoption and system bottlenecks

  • Develop a replication playbook that captures the operational insights needed to scale the digital navigation model to other low- and middle-income countries

  • Design an expansion roadmap to support full digital adoption at current sites and wider coverage by year-end

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to identify utilization barriers and support effective use of the digital framework

  • Support process mapping activities to understand how the digital tool improves the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment

  • Help analyze data and operational feedback from active implementation sites

  • Contribute to reporting and recommendations that strengthen the digital navigation model in resource-constrained settings

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support health equity and digital transformation goals through practical implementation insights

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Public Health, Health Management, Data Science, or Pharmacy within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.

Furthermore you are

  • Skilled in data analysis, project coordination, and process mapping

  • An excellent communicator with the ability to engage with clinical staff and technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable working with digital tools or data platforms for tracking, reporting, and operational analysis

  • Interested in digital health and improving patient outcomes in resource-constrained settings

  • A proactive and empathetic problem solver with strong English skills; familiarity with the healthcare context in Ghana or a similar LMIC setting is an advantage

If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.

Additional information

The internship is expected to start between 1 and 16 July 2026 and will last at least 3 months.
