Revvity is looking for:

Software Development intern

Summer position (e.g. 3–4 months)

Turku, Finland / R&D

Our Turku site, Wallac Oy, is one of the largest production and product development units within Revvity’s Diagnostics business. Currently, more than 500 people work in Turku. At the site, we develop and manufacture instruments, chemical reagents, and software for screening and research purposes. We are a market leader in providing screening systems for newborns and pregnant women, and our products are used in more than 100 countries worldwide.

We are looking for a Software Development intern to join our R&D team in Finland. Our team develops neonatal and maternal/fetal screening solutions for a global market. High-quality, secure, and modern software is a critical part of our products — and ultimately our mission to save lives.

Our Software Development team works in an agile environment using modern technologies and AI-assisted development practices to improve code quality, productivity, and reliability. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in real product development while being supported and mentored by experienced professionals.

What you’ll do

  • Assist in the day‑to‑day development and maintenance of our software products

  • Work on approachable, real‑world tasks such as:

    • Fixing small bugs and improving existing code

    • Making minor updates to existing features

    • Cleaning up code and improving readability and structure

    • Updating dependencies and configurations with guidance

  • Get introduced to quality, reliability, and long‑term software maintenance in a professional product environment

  • Learn more about security‑related maintenance as one example of responsible software development (e.g. applying updates or small improvements)

  • Use AI‑assisted development tools (for example, to help with coding, refactoring, testing, and understanding existing code) with support from your mentor

  • Occasionally see how the software interacts with instruments and hardware to better understand the full system

Technologies and tools you’ll get exposure to

  • C# and modern .NET development

  • AI tools in software development

  • GitHub, Jira, Azure DevOps and agile ways of working

What we’re looking for

  • Ongoing studies in software engineering, computer science, or a related field

  • Basic experience or strong interest in C# or similar programming languages

  • Interest in AI-assisted software development and secure coding practices

  • Willingness to work on-site in Turku and interact with instruments/hardware when needed

  • Good written and spoken English

  • Curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a professional R&D environment

Considered a plus

  • Fluent Finnish

  • Interest or experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or secure development

What we offer

  • Meaningful work in healthcare technology with real-world impact

  • Practical experience in AI-assisted and secure software development

  • Mentoring and support from experienced software professionals

  • A collaborative and friendly team environment

  • A strong foundation for a future career in software or R&D

Revvity’s Turku site is a substance-free workplace, and new employees are required to undergo a drug test as part of the pre-employment medical examination.
