PURIS is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Development Intern to support summer strategic growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a student interested in corporate strategy, market research, and growth-focused analysis within the food, ingredient, and ag-tech space. 

The intern will focus primarily on market mapping, target list development by vertical, CRM deal tracking, and outbound outreach to potential partners or acquisition targets. The role also provides exposure to high-level valuation and return modeling, as well as hands-on support for active corporate development projects. 

Pay Rate/Range: $20/hour

Pay Frequency: Biweekly

Bonus Eligible: No

Work Location: Minneapolis Innovation Center

Travel: No

This is a summer-only internship (10–12 weeks) based in Minneapolis. 

The compensation for this role will be based on qualifications, experience, market data, and internal equity. Actual pay may vary due to factors such as location, skills, education, and performance. Pay is determined transparently, using market benchmarks and ensuring internal equity.

What You’ll Do: 

• Research and map markets to identify potential acquisition, partnership, and investment targets 
• Build and manage target lists by strategic vertical 
• Maintain Corp Dev deal activity in CRM 
• Support outbound outreach and introductory engagement with prospective targets 
• Assist with high-level valuation and return analysis 
• Provide project and diligence support to the Corporate Development team 

Requirements

What We’re Looking For: 

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Economics, or a related field 
• Strong research, organization, and analytical skills 
• Clear written communication and attention to detail 
• Interest in corporate development, strategy, and the food/ag/ingredient industry
