MaryRuth’s is seeking an eCommerce Summer Intern to work closely with the eCommerce Director and Amazon team to gain hands-on experience with one of the most critical and complex eCommerce channels. This role will be involved with the behind-the-scenes work driving performance on Amazon, from promotional strategy and listing optimization to fulfillment operations and brand protection. This position will support a variety of initiatives that directly impact visibility, conversion, and revenue growth. This is a temporary (6/1/26 to 8/7/26), full-time, hourly, non-exempt, remote role. EST or CST hours are preferred.
Must be currently enrolled (as of 6/1/2026) in an academic program, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Responsibilities
Support optimization of Amazon product listings (titles, bullets, images, A+ content).
Assist in executing promotional campaigns and tracking performance.
Help monitor account health, Buy Box ownership, and competitive activity.
Contribute to reporting and analysis of key Amazon performance metrics.
Assist in managing subscription (Subscribe & Save) strategies.
Support inventory and fulfillment coordination efforts.
Partner on Amazon initiatives with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Operations, and Marketing.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Learning Objectives
Gain hands-on experience with Amazon marketplace strategy and execution.
Learn best practices for organic listing optimization to improve product visibility and conversion.
Develop an understanding of key eCommerce and Amazon-specific metrics.
Build foundational knowledge of supply chain and fulfillment processes and their impact on sales performance.
Learn the fundamentals of Buy Box ownership and brand protection strategies.
Understand how promotional and subscription strategies drive growth on Amazon.
Strengthen analytical and strategic thinking skills within a high-impact sales channel.
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled (as of 6/1/2026) in an academic program, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Education or background in Marketing, Operations, or Business preferable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail in a variety of platforms.
Interest in eCommerce or operations in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Analytical mindset with an interest in performance data and insights.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
This role involves sitting most of the time but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
