About the Role
Position Summary

The Redzone deployment Intern will be responsible for supporting launch of productivity system “Redzone” in Ajinomoto Foods North America San Diego Plant. This system is designed to optimize KPI monitoring and operational communication to achieve higher productivity. The goal of this role is to help establish effective usage of this i-Pad based system across plant organization, mainly by supporting Dashboard creation, Check sheet format creation, giving coach for effective usage of SNS function, and data migration from current legacy systems.  


Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Plant Leadership Team, mainly CI (Continuous Improvement) Manager, Ops (Operations) Manager, & E&T (Education & Training) manager.
  • Creation of dashboards like KPI dashboards, huddle-meeting dashboards, DS (Direction Settings) meeting dashboards.
  • Creation of checklist format like CL (Center-lining), CIL (Clean, Inspection & Lube), pre-flights which are basic routine of stable operational cadence, and migration of current existing checklist from legacy system mainly known as “SafetyChain” or “Weever”.
  • Support building up “LEARNING” module in accordance with E&T manager’s instructions. Migration of SOP (Standards of Operations) documents into Redzone platform and creation of Skills Matrix dashboards.
  • Coaching to operational members for effective usage of SNS functions and how to facilitate shift huddle meeting with dashboards monitor screens.
  • Coaching to operational members how to create forms and create manual documents of such knowledges.

Position Qualifications

  • 1st year to Senior Level student in a college program of Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • (Preferred) Experience of using digital forms or document creation tools.
  • (Preferred) Spanish speaking/writing ability to create multi-lingual forms and interact with operational members. (Communication on floor level operation is 99% Spanish)
  • Range of pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour.
