We are looking for a motivated DevOps Co-op to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. This role will allow you to work closely with experienced DevOps engineers, software developers, and IT teams to help improve the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and automating cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) to streamline software deployments.
- Support containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, logs, and security incidents.
- Write scripts and automation tools in Python, Bash, or Terraform to improve workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and infrastructure reliability.
- Participate in infrastructure as code (IaC) development and configuration management.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for internal use.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Basic experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD concepts.
- Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
