JOB SUMMARY 

The FP&A Intern will support the Finance team with reporting, analysis, and forecasting activities. During a 6–10 week internship, this role will help prepare weekly/monthly dashboards, perform basic variance analysis, and build/maintain Excel templates to improve visibility into sales, gross margin, and discretionary spend.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE YOUR MARK: (key responsibilities)

Possible Internship Projects Include (priority based on business need and candidate interests):

· Support weekly/monthly reporting (refresh data, validate inputs, and publish a clean dashboard).

· Support the implementation and ongoing cadence of monthly reporting, with analysis across: Sales by customer and collection, gross profit performance and drivers, and discretionary spend trends.

· Perform monthly actuals vs. plan/forecast variance analysis and support development of
forward-looking forecasts.

· Collaborate with the Data & Systems team to support development of a scalable data warehouse and centralized reporting environment.

· Support creation, enhancement, and maintenance of monthly reporting including customer P&Ls, collection P&Ls, and shipment forecasting.

· Assist in building and maintaining templates to track discretionary spending, enabling visibility, accountability, and improved spend discipline.

· Conduct financial assessments of innovation projects, including P&L modeling, profitability evaluation, and scenario analysis.


Internship Outcomes

· Weekly/monthly reporting refresh completed accurately and on time.

· Variance analysis delivered with clear takeaways and questions for follow-up.

· One improved template/tool handed off with documentation (e.g., spend tracker or dashboard enhancement).

· Professional, organized communication with cross-functional partners when gathering inputs.


Main Interfaces

· Sales: Support customer/channel/collection reporting and performance measurement.

· Marketing: Assist in budget and spend tracking and evaluating efficiency and ROI.

· Supply Chain: Collaborate on cost savings, forecasting, inventory, and shipment analytics.

· IT & Systems: Partner to enhance data availability, systems capability, and reporting automation.

Requirements


REQUIRED SUPERPOWERS: (required skills and abilities)

· Interest in FP&A, forecasting, and business performance.

· Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, financial modeling); Power BI, SQL, or Python familiarity is a plus.

· Comfortable working with data and checking for accuracy/detail.

· Clear written and verbal communication; able to summarize findings succinctly.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or related field.


WHAT IT TAKES DAY-TO-DAY: (physical requirements)

· This is an office-based role with no physical requirements

· Hybrid work schedule: 4 days in office and 1 day remote
