What you’ll be doing…
You’ll be working on an open problem in the domain of connected vehicles, getting ahead of the state of the art and designing an improved solution, leveraging the huge amount of data collected by Verizon Connect.
Keep up to date with the scientific literature on the chosen open problem
Benchmark several approaches from the state-of-the-art on Verizon Connect data
Design, implement and validate a new solution to the open problem
Disseminate the results by drafting a scientific paper
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree or recently graduated with a Master’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent education.
Solid computer science fundamentals (Algorithms and Data Structures).
Programming experience with Python or relevant programming languages.
Ability to read advanced scientific papers and extract the main ideas.
Fluent in English
Even better if you have:
Research experience in the field of Computer Science, Machine Learning or Operations Research.
Familiar with Unix/Linux environments.
Familiar with version control tools such as git
