About the Role

Manufacturing Engineer Summer Intern


Kaman Air Vehicles is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Summer Intern for Summer 2026 to support engineering and operations in our Bloomfield facility. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to process improvement, production support, and cross-functional teamwork.

 

This is an on-site Summer 2026 Internship Program that will begin June 1st and run approximately 12–16 weeks, with anticipated end dates between August 28th and September 18th depending on availability. Interns will work 20–30 hours per week (minimum 20, maximum 30), Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with manufacturing process improvements and production support 
  • Help create and update work instructions and process documentation 
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues 
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities 
  • Provide day-to-day support on the manufacturing floor 

 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field 
  • Strong interest in manufacturing and process improvement 
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • CAD / ERP experience is a plus 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
