Position Summary:

Reporting to the Medical Affairs Director. The Intern, Medical Affairs is responsible for supporting the local medical affairs activities for the Ultragenyx portfolio of products and assist in the management of medical affairs operations in the country. The candidate will be working in conjunction with the local Medical Affairs team, Commercial team, Commercial and Market Access and Government Affairs Director and Sr. Product manager. This role will best suit someone who wants to learn about rare diseases business, provide creative ideas and gain experience while earning their degree.
Work Model:
Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of Medical Plan, tactics and activities in country
- Support Medical team to ensure develop and adequate tracking the activities to maximize our opportunities to gain in each key account (v.g. Forms on time, letters to Key Decision Makers (KDMs), coordinate strategic agenda between KDMs and Vendors, events planning, contracts and execution)
- Support preparation and follow up of KPIs for Medical
- Contact and follow up on the negotiations with the main medical societies together with medical affairs.
- Contact with local communication agencies and/or travel agencies to support the medical events or development of promotional materials
- Development of medical projects / plans under medical affairs supervision
- Data analysis
- Prepare reports and presentations based on company needs
- Support the team in daily administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Student of Business Administration, Marketing or Social Communication
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork
- Ability to quickly learn and process information
- Organization and time management skills
- Fluency in English
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- The position will be based in CDMX, México
