As a member of BakerRipley's Internship program, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking department dedicated to advance BakerRipley's impact in the Houston region.
Reporting to the agencies administrative based programs to support outreach efforts, program outcomes, administrative duties and other duties as assigned. The Administrative Internship is a pro-active and resourceful team member, who will assist in a diverse array of projects to support the team. This position will provide general office support and excellent customer service.
This hybrid, part-time internship offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit program planning, community engagement, and project management.

Expected Positive Outcomes
Gain a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit operations and the role of the Family Services division at Workforce Solution in supporting our community.
Develop professional communication skills through direct outreach to clients and collaboration with internal teams.
Strengthen project management and administrative skills by supporting training coordination, data tracking, and reporting.
Enhance community engagement and marketing experience through event participation and material development.
Contribute meaningfully to the organization by designing and implementing a project that addresses a service gap or improves client experience.
Essential Functions
Conduct outreach to families regarding eligibility documentation, case assignments, and job search support.
Assist in planning and preparing Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) training sessions, including assembling training materials and coordinating logistics.
Support families by promoting developmental screenings, completing Family Services Plans, and sharing community resources.
Track and document client interactions, follow-ups, and service outcomes using spreadsheets and internal systems.
Participate in community events to promote CCS programs and engage with potential clients.
Create and revise marketing materials to support outreach and program visibility.
Collaborate with team members across departments (Intake Eligibility Specialists, Information Resource Specialists, Family & Community Services) to support cross-functional initiatives.
Work with teams to coordinate logistics for events as needed.
Identify and implement a project that enhances Family Services, with guidance from a mentor.
Performs other duties as assigned
