With FARO CREAFORM, possibility takes form.

We give quality teams, production teams, maintenance teams, and designers the certainty to manufacture and design like never before — transforming 3D measurements into smarter decisions and endless possibilities.

We believe that if it can be dreamed it can also be measured. And if it can be measured, it can also be realized.

We are seeking an Optical Systems Intern to join our Exton, PA facility.

Do you enjoy working at the intersection of optics, imaging, and computation? As an Optical Systems Intern at FARO Creaform, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of advanced imaging and metrology systems. Working closely with Product R&D teams, you will take part in hands‑on experimental and computational activities that directly support core technology development.

This internship is well suited for graduate‑level students who enjoy solving quantitative imaging challenges through a mix of theory, software, and experimentation. You will gain exposure to real R&D workflows, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to projects with tangible impact on our products.

Here is what we offer you:

  • A hands-on R&D internship connected to real products and technologies.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary Product and Research teams.
  • Exposure to advanced imaging, optics, and metrology systems.
  • A learning‑driven environment that values curiosity and initiative.
  • Opportunities to work with both software and experimental setups.
  • A human, innovative, and internationally recognized company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support imaging system evaluation, characterization, and validation activities.
  • Contribute to image acquisition, processing, and analysis pipelines.
  • Assist with experimental investigations combining hardware and software.
  • Analyze data and help extract performance metrics and insights.

What will help you succeed at FARO Creaform:

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Interest in imaging systems, image processing, and quantitative analysis.
  • Basic experience with scientific programming tools such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.
  • Comfort working with data, experiments, and problem‑solving tasks.
  • Curiosity, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate within an R&D team.
