We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern (Hardware & Optics) to join our Lake Mary, FL facility. 


Do you enjoy building, testing, and understanding how things work beyond theory? As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at FARO Creaform, you will contribute directly to the development and validation of high‑precision mechanical and optical hardware. Working closely with experienced engineers, you will gain hands‑on exposure to real products, real tests, and real engineering challenges in a collaborative and learning‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the design and modification of mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD tools
  • Participate in mechanical and optical testing, including setup, execution, and documentation
  • Assist with prototype assembly, lab activities, and basic troubleshooting
  • Collect and analyze test data using tools such as Excel or Python

What will help you succeed at FARO Creaform:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Comfortable with CAD tools and basic mechanical principles.
  • Interest in hands-on work, testing, and physical hardware.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel or programming tools such as Python.
  • Curiosity, autonomy, and a strong desire to learn in a team environment.
