About the Role

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Summer SW Graduate Intern at MKS Inc., you will partner with the Engineering Team to develop, debug, and improve software and firmware for RF/DC generators and matching products. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Designing, developing, programming, debugging, and modifying software.

  • Troubleshooting code and testing firmware applications and test programs.

  • Programming firmware, software, and FPGA for RF/DC generators and matching products.

  • Participating in firmware design reviews, suggesting improvements, and supporting the development of new technologies.

  • Gaining system-level software expertise for power delivery systems and related products.

  • Using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for project management and documentation.

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 5% of travel may be required.

Skills You Bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in C or C++ programming.

  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux or RTOS.

  • Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB and Python.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

  • Experience in power electronics, electromagnetic circuits, digital signal processing, or step motor control.

  • Experience with LabVIEW or Mathcad.

  • Good English communication skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to remain seated at a computer for extended periods.

  • Requires manual dexterity to operate computers and laboratory equipment.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with team members and document work.

  • This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment.
