Position summary

  • Vacancy: Summer Intern; Engineer, Energy Efficiency & Sustainability
  • Duration: Fixed-term for summer 2026 (e.g. May – August/September 2026)
  • Place: RCG Turku site office (on-site working only, no remote working)

 

General requirements

  • Master's degree student in energy technology (or equivalent)
  • At least a third-year student
  • Motivation to do and learn

 

Work duties

  • Conducting techno-economic feasibility studies for decarbonizing future cruise ships
  • Data-analytics for identifying new technological development initiatives
  • Creating and developing dynamic energy/emissions models and simulations for cruise ships (digital twin)
  • Participating development collaboration with technology vendors
  • Supporting and learning the inspections of a newbuild cruise ship under construction
