About The Company
At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries. Our affordable and sustainable service is made possible by our passionate people, cutting-edge technology, efficient planning, and, of course, our fleet of iconic electric vehicles! It’s why our customer base is growing rapidly across the Netherlands, Germany, and France.
One of the things that makes Picnic different is that we handle almost everything in-house: forecasting, developing our first automated warehouse and new electric Picnic vehicles, internal and customer-facing applications—the list goes on. It gives us more freedom when it comes to trying out new and innovative ideas, which is something we do a lot!
We love to challenge ourselves and learn new things. Our teams have access to various meetups, language classes, ‘Lunch & Learn’ sessions, our very own Tech Academy, and tailored soft-skills training. Professional development is as important to us as the service we provide to our customers.
As a diverse team made up of over 80 nationalities, there are always plenty of activities to get involved with, whether you’re into sports, board games, charitable causes, dancing (at our legendary Picnic festival), or licorice tasting—yes, even that!
Our scale-up culture means you get to own your role and bring fresh ideas to the table. So, if you’re looking for an opportunity to make a real difference, get in touch—we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
In a nutshell
Tricks of the trade
- Collaboration: You'll work closely with our recruiters and various internal teams to understand the specific requirements for open positions
- Sourcing: Using LinkedIn Search and other search techniques, you'll actively look for potential candidates and approach them to explore opportunities at Picnic
- Strategy: You will design and execute creative strategies to build robust talent pipelines, taking full ownership of the search for unique talent while aligning with broader team goals
- Innovation: You'll bring fresh ideas and provide valuable input to enhance our talent pipeline processes and improve overall recruitment outcomes
For example, every year at Picnic we organize a Business Course event for potential Analyst candidates (see video here). In 2026, it could be YOU the one recruiting for it, together with the support of our colleagues.
Your superpowers
- You are currently enrolled in a Master’s programma in Psychology, HRM, Business Administration or similar fields
- You have prior internships or working-student experience, preferably in active sourcing or recruiting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
- You are available for 40 hrs p/w, for a minimum of 4 months
- You have EU citizenship (mandatory)
- Note: this is a regular internship opportunity (no thesis internship or project internship)
At Picnic, we use Greenhouse as our ATS. It's great if you're familiar with it or if you're curious to learn!
Picnic Perks
You’ll get plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself and grow, including the Picnic Tech Academy, Lunch & Learn sessions, and tailored soft skills training. We also offer free professional weekly language courses.
You’ll work in an awesome startup environment with the freedom to drive your own projects and create a visible impact. Our fully electric vehicles and sustainable business model mean you’ll also be contributing to making the world a better place!
With more than 80 nationalities across 3 countries, you’ll be part of a diverse company with plenty of cool stuff to get involved with, from board game evenings to after-work drinks to our company ski trip and more!
Mental health is important. As well as having the option to speak with Picnic colleagues who act as confidential advisors, our collaboration with OpenUp gives you easy access to professional psychologists, along with workshops and materials.
