What can you expect?
We are looking for someone to join our Advanced Cyber Practices team as a 10-week summer 2026 intern. In this rotational internship, you will work in small sprints across three specialized disciplines—Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and Red Team—spending equal time with each group. You will gain hands-on experience analyzing threat landscapes, proactively hunting for adversary activity, and executing offensive security assessments. At the conclusion of the internship, you will deliver a capstone project demonstrating the skills and knowledge you developed across all three teams. Additionally, you will collaborate across multiple teams on various efforts to continue to strengthen the security posture of Marsh & McLennan Companies.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Conducting cyber threat intelligence research, including analysis of threat actors, campaigns, and indicators of compromise (IOCs) to produce actionable intelligence
- Assisting the Threat Hunting team in proactively searching for adversary activity across network, endpoint, and cloud environments using hypothesis-driven methodologies
- Supporting Red Team engagements by helping plan and execute offensive security assessments, including reconnaissance, initial access techniques, and reporting findings
- Participating in sprint rotations across all three Advanced Cyber Practices sub-teams, contributing to real-world projects and team training opportunities
- Completing and presenting a capstone project at the conclusion of the internship that demonstrates skills and knowledge gained across Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and Red Team
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of internal process documentation, playbooks, and operational procedures
- Working closely with team leads, senior analysts, and specialists across Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and Red Team to build skills and experience

We would like you to have:
- In progress undergraduate degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), other related degrees, or equivalent experience
- Excellent critical thinking skills, with proven analytical expertise and the ability to learn adaptively
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge in one or more of the following domains: Network Operations and Architecture, Operating Systems, Identity and Access Management, Programming, Cloud Computing, Databases, or Cryptography
- Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, evolving environment with multiple inputs and tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of common attacks, current threats, threat actors, adversary TTPs, and industry trends
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and models, such as MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain, The Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
