Position Summary
Arrow International, Inc. is seeking to add an Art Intern (Paid) to our Electronic Gaming Development team. As an Intern you will assist and work closely with the art team while learning about our industry and refining your personal skills. Primary responsibilities will be to aid in game creation through brainstorming, concepting, art asset creation and in game implementation. This is a Summer Internship slated to start in the middle of May.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
As an intern, your time will be split between aiding the art team on current game projects, attending meetings and brainstorm sessions, learning about our games and the industry through interactive play and discussions, as well as developing your own game from scratch to be presented at the end of your internship.
Applicants must be able to work at our studio in Chicago, IL.
Requirements
Experience and Education
- Degree or working towards a degree in fine art, digital art, animation or related field.
- Excellent artistic capabilities in either 2D, 3D and/or animation.
- A portfolio showcasing a strong sense of color usage, understanding of composition, anatomy and the principles of animation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and more. Knowledge in a 3D package such as Maya or Blender.
- Experience in Casino or Slot Related Industries is considered a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Stand for long periods of time
- Extensive time in front of LCD’s and Electronic Gaming Machine screens
- Repetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doors
Work Conditions:
- The ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quickly
- Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules
- Limited travel may be required
