Starting Wage:               $14.17 - $17.72

Position Summary:

The Marina & RV Park Attendant is directly responsible for ensuring friendly and quality services in all phases of the Marina and RV Park operations to meet the needs of Fortune Bay guests.  

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

The Marina and RV Park Attendant is responsible for the following duties:

  • Greet and assist guests at Marina and RV Park; assist with docking and launching facilities.
  • Provide quality and courteous services to guests and co-workers.
  • Provide proper and accurate handling and recording of all Marina and RV Park sales and services.
  • Maintain knowledge of casino promotions and property amenities to communicate to guests.
  • Assist in transportation to and from the Casino and Marina.
  • Clean boats and rental equipment upon return and prior to rental.  Report any damages.
  • Utilize training in AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species) practices to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain Marina and RV Park records and equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills, ability to run POS system, basic computer knowledge.
  • Must be highly motivated, with an exceptional positive attitude.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One to two years of customer service experience preferred.

 

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and requires overall good mental and physical health. 

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, and/or sit, and/or walk extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license, age requirement.

Ability to tolerate gas and oil fumes.
Ability to crouch, and/or crawl, and/or kneel.
 
Ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights.

It is the policy of the Bois Forte Band, pursuant to tribal and federal law, to give preference to qualified Native Americans in hiring, promotion, and departmental transfers.  Preference will be extended to members of the Bois Forte Band, members of other federally recognized tribes and to status Natives born in Canada.
