Responsibilities

Patient Care Partner/ AUA performs a variety of patient care duties under the direct supervision of an RN. Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment. Must be able to interact with patients, families, physicians and all levels of staffing an effective manner.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment
  • Responds to patients’ needs in a timely manner
  • Assists patients with ADL’s, including meals, bathing, and hygiene needs
  • Demonstrates ability to perform 12 lead EKG.

Qualifications

Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Completion of AUA Program.

 

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required.  Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment.  Completion of AUA Certification Program with successful completion of test and licensed with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

 

Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
