Duration: 12-16 weeks, 20-25 hours per week (Part-time) 

Salary: $16.90 (Hourly)

Job Overview:

 The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience in municipal finance and fiscal management. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and accountability processes that ensure the City of McFarland’s economic health.

Duties and Responsibilities:

o   Assist with organizing and managing financial documents, including budgets, reports, and invoices.

o   Shadow finance professionals, including accountants and the Finance Director, to understand fiscal operations.

Qualifications:

•  Currently enrolled in an approved degree program 

•  GPA Requirement: 3.0 or higher

•  Residency: Must be in Kern County, local residency

Must have transcripts available for proof of enrollment
