Role Overview 

Equinix is looking for a visionary AI Engineering Intern to join our Enterprise AI Team. This is not a "shadowing" internship; you will be the primary developer of an Agentic AIs designed to revolutionize how we support our global customers. 

You will focus on moving beyond simple chatbots to create Autonomous Agents that can navigate Equinix’s internal tools, interpret complex customer data, and execute workflows that drive proactive intelligence. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Build Agentic Workflows: Design and deploy AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning, tool-use (function calling), and autonomous problem-solving for our workflows. 

• Bridge the Ecosystem: Enhance our existing  Agentic Platforms like Google ADK, Vertex AI 

• End-to-End Development: Own the full lifecycle, from data ingestion and prompt engineering to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementation and production deployment, and user enablement and adoption. 

• Drive Insight & Intelligence: Develop agents that proactively identify churn risks, summarize complex support tickets, and suggest "next-best-actions" for Customer Success Managers (CSMs). 

• Legacy Modernization: Evaluate existing CS processes and transform them into intelligent, LLM-powered processes. 

Technical Qualifications 

• AI/ML Foundations: Strong understanding of LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Llama 3), Prompt Engineering, and Agentic Frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, or CrewAI). 

• Programming: Proficiency in Python and experience with API integration (REST, GraphQL). 

• Data Skills: Familiarity with Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift) and SQL for querying customer databases. 

• Problem Solving: The ability to take a vague business problem (e.g., "Why are customers in EMEA struggling with onboarding?") and build a technical agent to solve it. 

Required Qualifications 

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field 

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor's or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2026 -September 2027) 

• An interest in the intersection of Data Center Providers and Artificial Intelligence throughout the Go-To-Market lens. 

• Available to work full-time during the summer internship period (June–August) in one of our Northern California, Dallas, or DC office locations 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
