Job Summary:

Nevada Partners, Inc. strongly supports community education internship programs that equip our interns with the skills and understanding needed to complete their educational programs. As the Neighborhood STEM Program Coordinator, you will support the program's successful implementation. This role ensures clear communication among instructors, participants, partner organizations, and internal departments, maintains organized program records, and supports participant engagement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support student recruitment and registration. 
  • Coordinate the student enrollment process. 
  • Coordinated student onboarding and orientation for instructors and program participants. 
  • Maintain the program's activity schedule and assist in coordinating classrooms and instructors. 
  • Schedule program activities 
  • Program Operations
    • Assist with the preparation of instructional spaces and program materials.
    • Support communication and coordination between staff, instructors, and partners.
    • Monitor program activities and communicate operational needs to the Program Manager.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Assist with the preparation of instructional spaces and program materials.
    • Support communication and coordination between staff, instructors, and partners.
  • Attendance and Participant Support 
    • Support communication and coordination between staff, instructors, and partners.
    • Monitor program activities and communicate operational needs to the Program Manager.
  • Data and Reporting Support 
    • Assist with the preparation of instructional spaces and program materials.
    • Support communication and coordination between staff, instructors, and partners.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams. 
  • Participate in Nevada Partners-sponsored events. 
  • Participate in Nevada Partners training and meetings. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

 Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Knowledgeable with an understanding of community-based youth and student programs. 
  • Background or interest in STEM fields, including robotics, coding, or data science. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. 

 Education and Experience:

Current undergraduate student (Junior/Senior preferred), pursuing a degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Administration, or related field. 

Common Learning Goals:

Applying academic theory to practical, real-world scenarios. 

Hands-on experience in program evaluation, data management, and community outreach. 

Mentorship from professionals in social work and community development. 

Understanding of the intersection between technological access and social well-being. 

 Work Environment: 

Office settings in which team members have a strong sense of camaraderie and a good work ethic. 

 Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the facilities. 

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
