General Purpose 


The Risk & Safety Intern supports the organization’s risk management and workplace safety initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in identifying hazards, supporting compliance efforts, and promoting a culture of safety across operations.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Support incident reporting, tracking, and basic analysis

  • Help maintain safety documentation, policies, and compliance records

  • Partner with teams to promote safety awareness and best practices

  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and training materials

  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles (OSHA familiarity a plus)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk facilities and observe operations

  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
