General Purpose
The Risk & Safety Intern supports the organization’s risk management and workplace safety initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in identifying hazards, supporting compliance efforts, and promoting a culture of safety across operations.
Essential Duties
Assist in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Support incident reporting, tracking, and basic analysis
Help maintain safety documentation, policies, and compliance records
Partner with teams to promote safety awareness and best practices
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and training materials
Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles (OSHA familiarity a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk facilities and observe operations
Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs)
Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
