Internship: Retail Marketing & Shopper Experience (Dutch speaking)

As a Shopper Marketing Intern at Philips, you will gain hands‑on, real‑life experience in a purposeful environment, learning how shopper marketing works in practice. You will work closely with major retail partners such as MediaMarkt, Bol.com, and Kruidvat to help ensure shoppers have an optimal experience with Philips products, both online and in-store. In this role, you will support the creation and optimization of product detail pages (PDPs) for leading online retailers and contribute to developing best‑in‑class in‑store experiences, including point‑of‑sale materials and store layouts. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, benefit from close mentoring, and gain valuable exposure to shopper marketing within a global health technology company.

Your Role:

  • Support the creation and optimization of product detail pages (PDPs) at major online retailers

  • Contribute to developing and improving in‑store shopper experiences, including POS materials and store layouts

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams and external agencies

  • Support marketing execution across both online and offline retail channels

  • Analyze shopper and performance data using dashboards to support optimization efforts

  • Assist with creating marketing materials and presentations, including visual assets

  • Support ongoing projects aimed at improving shopper experience and commercial performance

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree Marketing, Marketing Communication, Marketing Data Analytics, Business Administration, Business Management, Business Economics, Business Information Management, Business Analytics Management.

  • You have a customer‑first mindset and are motivated to make life better for others

  • You bring a commercial, growth‑oriented mindset

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy collaborating with others

  • You are a proactive self‑starter with an entrepreneurial, “can‑do” attitude

  • You are fluent in English and Dutch

  • Experience with Photoshop, working with dashboards, or analyzing shopper data is a strong plus

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities, generally at the customers or suppliers locations.

Monthly full-time allowance between 500 - 700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, 300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, 255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours. Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. 192,- net. Paid holidays per internship term.
