Project Title:
Data Visualisation and Analytics for Equipment Health Monitoring
Project Description:
This internship project focuses on the application of data visualisation and analytics techniques to large‑scale manufacturing sensor data within the quality engineering domain. Modern manufacturing equipment generates high‑volume sensor signals that provide valuable insight into equipment health and process stability. The project centres on transforming these data streams into meaningful visual information to enable earlier identification of equipment behaviour changes and process performance risks. The intern will work within a structured project team to design and develop an interactive visualisation platform that enables intuitive exploration of sensor trends and quality indicators.
Objective of the Project:
The objective is to develop the intern’s capability in engineering data analysis, visualisation design, and software development while strengthening understanding of how data‑driven methods contribute to manufacturing quality and efficiency.

Project Scope:
- Analyse large‑scale equipment sensor datasets related to manufacturing quality
- Design and develop interactive data visualisation features for trend analysis
- Enable intuitive exploration of data patterns related to equipment behaviour
- Define data pipelines and visual requirements for quality monitoring
- Collaborate with engineers and subject‑matter specialists on solution design

The project strengthens manufacturing quality process control by improving visibility into equipment behaviour and enabling faster identification of potential quality risks.
Skillsets Required:
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Programming experience in Python
- Knowledge of data handling and structured thinking
- Familiarity with web‑based visualisation technologies is advantageous
Course of Interests:
- Students from courses such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science are encouraged to apply.
Duration Period:
Minimum 5 months (Priority will be given to those who can commit to a full time, semester long itnernship from July to Nov 2026)
