Job Description

OVERVIEW 

The Graphics Intern will be a part of the CNBC International Graphics team in APAC that contributes to the output of daily live TV news programs watched by millions of viewers worldwide. You will be trained and guided by experienced Graphic Designers to develop and generate a range of visuals for live TV broadcast. Using your design skills, you will develop and create high quality, visually captivating and accurate Artwork to inform our audience across news stories.   

Working closely with the team, you will develop an understanding and learn to manage multiple incoming requests/briefs for varying Artwork and Graphics needed for live programming, as well as for Marketing needs. Whilst in this role, you will also have an opportunity to gain a further understanding of several aspects of a live TV production environment and learn how the various departments such as Control rooms, Newsroom, and Studios carry out their daily functions, all contributing to the channel’s output.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  

  • Produce Artwork/graphics to support the shows (to include Maps, info/data graphics, pictures, logos, text etc) for live TV news programs  

  • Build and update live Artwork for shows during programming, with guidance from senior Designers   

  • Process updates for Show Artwork/graphics, paying close attention to CNBC brand style and guidelines   

  • Assist other business teams – Marketing, Digital, News Editorial, with eDMs, social media banners, Print Ads and show promotional material where needed, under the guidance from team members  

  • Opportunity to learn and develop advanced graphic design and motion design skillsets for use across TV broadcast and Social Media content   

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, After effects, Media encoder  

  • Keen eye for design and attention to detail, willing to learn and interested in developing new design skills  

  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly, with accuracy, in a fast-paced "live" TV broadcast environment   

  • Team player, able to work independently and or collaborate with colleagues from different teams   

  • Flexibility and willingness in working shifts, as well as early mornings during live programming  

  • Ability to follow and adhere to CNBC brand guidelines, take on feedback where necessary and an openness to learn new skills in a friendly team environment  

  • A passion for creating artwork and designing for broadcasting and media platforms 

  • Able to commit to the internship from 18 September 2026 to 26 February 2027
