About the Role

Grade:                  4 

Salary Range:      $18.00 - $24.91

Salary range updated 2/26/2026. Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location:             Boston, MA

 

 

The intern will learn about the workings of a regional commercial bank headquartered in Boston, reporting to the bank’s Private Banking group. The Private Bank group is responsible for relationship management of clients, which include business owners, executives, private equity firms, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, the group is responsible for driving new relationships into the bank, offering banking, lending, and wealth management solutions.

 

The intern will lead a targeted outreach initiative to gather insights on what prospective clients value in a private banking relationship. He will assist the sales team and relationship management teams with various tasks. To succeed in this role, an intern should be comfortable in expanding his network. This internship is a great opportunity for a student interested in a career in financial services that requires a combination of broad financial skills and sales.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

Primary Project:

  • Identifying and contacting alumni within the Boston area using the Xaverian network
  • Scheduling and conducting informational meetings (Zoom, coffee chats, etc.)
  • Collecting and synthesizing qualitative data from these conversations
  • Preparing a final presentation for Private Banking leadership with findings and recommendations from this data

 

Secondary Projects:

  • Assist the team with new online cash management platform being launched in 2026
  • Help with AI adoption in Microsoft Copilot
