Summer Internship

May 26 - August 14

Must be enrolled full time as a bachelor or masters student pursing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field.  Must not have graduated before September 2026

We are looking for a DSP ASIC Design Intern to join our Austin, TX team.

Responsibilities

· Comprehend and document existing DSP code in SystemVerilog/Verilog

· Develop high-level DSP block design requirements

· Define and document optimized micro-architecture for DSP algorithms to minimize power and area

· RTL implementation in SystemVerilog/Verilog of DSP functions

· Block-level verification including creation of Verilog or UVM testbenches

· Perform block-level design checks including lint, CDC and DFT-readiness checks

Qualifications

· Must be enrolled full time as a bachelor or masters student pursing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field.  Must not have graduated before September 2026

· Experience with RTL coding, preferably including fixed-point signed arithmetic functions

· Strong programming and scripting skills in most of these languages: MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Perl, Tcl, Make, Bash

· Familiar with communication/DSP theory including filters, FFT, signal modulation techniques

· Understanding of different DSP architectures and tradeoffs (including transforms, filtering, sample rate conversion, etc.)

· Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills with excellent analytical and debugging skills

· Good written and oral communication skills
