Position: The Engineering Intern Role assists in various engineering tasks, focusing on process improvement, product quality, and gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Assists in the design and analysis of engineering projects through mechanical, process, chemical, or other engineering disciplines.
• Utilizes CAD software and engineering principles to contribute to project planning and design.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols in the manufacturing environment.
• Prepares and reviews technical documents, reports, and presentations to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
• Provide support in various projects as needed, which may include some or all of the following:
o Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers in scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure project timelines and financial objectives are met.
o Assist with material testing and analysis to determine suitability for project applications and compliance with industry standards.
o Contribute to the development of safety plans and risk assessments for manufacturing projects to ensure a safe process.
o Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process sheets and work instructions.
o Conduct research to identify new manufacturing technologies and methods of working.
o Assist with the implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
