About the Role

Job Description:

While working safely, the Maintenance Support Intern will work with the JPS maintenance team to perform predictive maintenance tasks to aid in maintaining machine quality performance, which would include but not limited to: alignment, data collection, heat, infrared, noise / vibration, wear, and other visual checks.  Perform preventive maintenance tasks which include but not limited to: air and water lines, bearing, belts, gearboxes, pumps, safety devices, wiring checks and replacement.  Will also assist engineering with facility and machine process issues.  Assist maintenance team with work orders in facility and machine maintenance.  Complete all assigned duties, TPM, and special project work.  Follow all Company Safety Policies and ISO Standards. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

 

Job Requirements:

The student will currently be working toward a degree or certification from one of the following: electrical systems/ electronics engineering, industrial tech or mechanical or mechatronics study programs.  The Maintenance Support Intern with report directly to the Plant Engineer and work closely with the entire maintenance team.  Work hours will be determined by their school schedule and plant requirements.

*ability to climb on and work from ladders and raised platforms

*ability to crawl in, around and under machines and equipment

*ability to lift 10 to 80 pounds using industrial equipment

*ability to work with hand tools and test equipment
