Job Purpose
The purpose of the Supply Chain Operations Intern is to support the Supply Chain and Operations teams with inventory activities, operational tasks, and analysis. This role provides hands-on experience with inventory management, procurement, forecasting, and distribution while helping improve data accuracy, stock levels, and operational efficiency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Assist with entering inventory transfers and purchase orders.
- Learn and support processes related to vendor price increases.
- Support the creation and extension of materials in inventory systems.
Inventory Analysis & Projects
- Analyze “no hits” reports and sales data for non distributed materials to identify items recommended for stocking.
- Use Copilot to evaluate lead time accuracy from WPDTC and identify outliers.
- Analyze before and after scenarios for forecasting and min/max levels to recommend adjustments.
- Use Copilot to identify sales inconsistencies by store and vendor to improve stock selection.
- Perform hub and spoke analyses to identify opportunities for vendor direct replenishment based on freight minimums.
Operations Support
- Use scanning equipment for inventory receiving and picking.
- Package products for outbound deliveries.
- Assist with unloading inbound freight.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts to support accuracy.
- Enter quotes and sales orders in OEA.
- Learn delivery operations through ride along experiences with drivers.
- Maintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance
- Work cooperatively with others
- Comply with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or associate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in supply chain operations, inventory management, and data analysis.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Copilot, scanners).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus but not required
Travel Requirements:
- 0% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay
