Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and organized Administrative Intern to support our team at Southern Landscape Group, Inc. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in business operations within a fast-paced industry. The intern will work closely with office staff to ensure smooth day-to-day administrative functions while also supporting the needs of our sales, production, and marketing teams as needed.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries in a professional manner
- Assist with client notifications and communications
- Maintain and update client records, contracts, and service files
- Support invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks using company software
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents as needed
- Help manage vendor receivables
- Assist with onboarding paperwork and employee file maintenance
- Provide general office support including filing, data entry, and organizing documents
- Mentorship from experienced professionals in the andscaping industry

Schedule & Compensation
- Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Paid internship - $16.00/hour
- In-person at our office in Evington, VA
Requirements
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Business Administration, Office Management, Communications, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Workspace
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Interest in the landscaping, horticulture, or outdoor services industry is a plus
- Prior administrative or customer service experience is preferred but not required
