About the Role

Internship Materials (6 Months)

Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for people with hearing loss, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.

 

As an intern in the R&D “Biological Safety and Materials” team you will support the materials engineers in the characterization and performance evaluation of hearing instruments and materials. You will prepare, run, analyze and report a variety of characterizations and accelerated environmental tests on materials and devices, as well as improve existing test routines.

This program is limited to 6 months.

 

Your tasks

 

  • Perform and analyze accelerated environmental tests on hearing instruments
  • Perform and analyze material characterization tests (e.g. contact angle, FTIR, SEM, XRF etc.)
  • Evaluate results across tested devices and materials and draw conclusions on how to improve device performance.
  • Develop and/or improve existing test methods
  • Document and present the results

 

Your profile

 

  • BSc or MSc student in the field of materials science, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Interest in the field of material characterization and environmental testing
  • Flair for laboratory hands-on work
  • Open-minded and self-motivated, communicative
  • Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
