This is an unpaid position. Interns will receive a stipend of $500 monthly. Must be currently enrolled in a degree program and will receive college credit to be eligible for this internship.

Internship Overview 

Our internship program is designed to expose students to the not-for-profit sector and to provide them with a rich learning and development experience in a particular functional area. The Content & Brand Marketing internship provides an opportunity to gain or deepen brand strategy, integrated planning, marketing copywriting, and marketing production skills, working with all of AFSP’s departments.

Specific responsibilities include copyediting and copywriting for digital and print channels, contributing to and maintaining campaign strategy and planning documents, project management and stakeholder coordination during the asset development process, well as providing additional administrative support for the marketing workflow. Interns will attend weekly meetings and brainstorms, and have the opportunity to learn about the marketing and communications field, build networking skills and discuss career planning.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Part-time or full-time college student (undergraduate with at least two academic years completed or graduate student)
  • Available to work 3 days per week; an average of 20-30 hours (Monday – Friday)

Qualifications

  • Excellent writing, communications and interpersonal skills (basic knowledge of AP Style is a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills (experience working within a project management platform is a plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership and an interest in communications and marketing via coursework or extracurricular activity
  • PowerPoint design and formatting experience
  • Interest or passion for working in the non-profit field
